Job Overview
We are seeking a Supplier Performance & Development Analyst to drive supplier performance improvement initiatives across a regional supplier network supporting our manufacturing operations.
This role will partner directly with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to identify systemic issues, lead root cause analysis activities, and implement sustainable corrective actions that improve quality, delivery, capacity, and operational performance.
The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing background, experience working with suppliers, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including supplier executives, plant leaders, and cross-functional teams.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of approximately 15-20 suppliers focused on performance improvement initiatives.
- Analyze supplier performance issues related to quality, delivery, manufacturing capability, and capacity.
- Lead root cause analysis activities using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Coach suppliers on root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement practices.
- Develop and track corrective action plans to drive sustainable operational improvements.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supplier Management teams to resolve supplier challenges.
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, audits, and improvement metrics.
- Support supplier qualification, capability assessments, and risk evaluations.
- Conduct regular onsite supplier visits across Mexico and the United States to evaluate operations and facilitate improvement activities.
- Build effective relationships with supplier leadership, including General Managers, Owners, Presidents, and CEOs.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, or a related field.
- Experience working in manufacturing environments and supplier-facing roles.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Experience developing and implementing supplier improvement plans.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including domestic and international travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace industry experience.
- Automotive industry experience.
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards.
- Experience with APQP, PPAP, supplier quality, or supplier development programs.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, stamping, or molding.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
- Familiarity with FMEA, Value Stream Mapping, and supplier assessment methodologies.
