Job Overview
The Sr. Director, Product Management is responsible for building, leading, and managing a complex global product portfolio, including developing the strategy and business plan, driving new product development, aligning cross-functional teams, and executing the business plan. This role oversees global product managers across regions and manages all aspects of the portfolio—from new product development to go-to-market strategies and product roadmaps, working closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations. The Sr. Director will also identify and lead growth opportunities through partnerships or inorganic initiatives, acting with an entrepreneurial spirit and a general manager mindset to meet sales and gross margin targets.
Key Responsibilities
Market Sensing & Strategy Development
- Identify market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Conduct market segmentation and develop segment-specific strategies and value propositions.
- Perform competitive analysis and benchmarking.
- Create product roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
- Design go-to-market strategies, including channel and partnership plans.
- Collaborate with R&D and Operations to develop new products that meet customer needs.
- Manage the full product lifecycle
Business Planning
- Define resource requirements to execute the roadmap.
- Build cross-functional alignment on sales, technology, and operational goals.
- Establish pricing policy.
- Develop the annual operating plan, including sales and gross margin targets.
- Engage directly with customers to align product plans to their priorities
Execution – New Product Development & Launch
- Plan product launches, including marketing and sales enablement.
- Provide demand forecasts to S&OP.
- Support customer meetings to win new business.
- Develop well-justified business cases for new products
Execution – Post Launch Product Management
Manage P&L for the assigned portfolio to deliver sustained profitable growth.
Enable sales through training and development of collateral materials.
Manage special pricing requests and resolve product issues.
Track performance against the business plan and address gaps
Talent Management
- Lead, coach, and motivate a multi-cultural team of global product managers.
- Build and develop team capabilities to meet current and future needs.
What your background should look like:
- 12+ years in product management, engineering, or sales, preferably with relevant product or industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required; MBA and P&L management experience preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 30% globally.
- Knowledge of Cloud/Datacenter hardware architectures.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand complex technical concepts.
- Creative, innovative, and execution-focused mindset.
- Proven ability to multitask and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Experienced leader capable of influencing cross-functional teams and building strong relationships.
- Advanced presentation skills to clearly communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $219,600-329,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
