Job Overview

 

We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Director of OEM Sales, North America.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic account growth plans aligned with our company's strategy and product roadmap.  This includes creating multiple strategic territory plans for Key and Global accounts to ensure profitable revenue growth and account penetration, as well as customer satisfaction throughout the region.  Additionally, this role entails promoting TE technology for long-term growth, communicating the Voice of the Customer to internal stakeholders, managing programs from concept to completion, and setting strategic vision for key stakeholders and direct reports.  A proven track record in sales leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving business growth are critical skills for success in this exciting opportunity.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and execute strategic account growth plans aligned with company strategy and product roadmap to drive profitable revenue and account penetration.
  • Create strategic territory plans for Key and Global accounts, ensuring alignment with customer roadmaps and long-term growth objectives.
  • Lead the development and internal communication of customer roadmaps and Voice of the Customer insights to shape business direction and solution development.
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to assess threats, identify opportunities, and influence near- and long-term strategies.
  • Monitor smaller and emerging competitors and complementary businesses to mitigate risk and inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with Sales Leaders to design and implement both near- and long-term growth plans; effectively communicate and influence internal stakeholders.
  • Lead global and annual negotiations related to contracts and pricing; engage directly with customers at all organizational levels.
  • Support Accounts Receivable by partnering with Account Managers and internal teams to resolve outstanding payments and customer issues.
  • Understand market dynamics including PAM, TAM, and SAM, and leverage insights to drive product positioning and regain or expand market share.
  • Support harness-making activities by aligning customer needs with engineering and manufacturing capabilities, ensuring product feasibility and timely delivery.
  • Manage and develop a team of Account Managers, ensuring execution of strategic objectives and performance excellence.
  • Track and deliver on key performance indicators including Revenue Growth, TE Revenue Pipeline (TERP), Forecast Accuracy, and Accounts Receivable.

 

What your background should look like

 

  • Bachelor’s technical or business degree
  • Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience preferred
  • 7+ years of sales management experience
  • Relevant product or industry experience is desired
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Strong data analytical skills and logical thinking
  • Strong communication abilities (written and verbal)
  • Ability to drive accountability and operational tempo amongst the core tea

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $179,900-269,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
