Job Overview

 

As Director, Global Accounts responsible for one of TE’s Platinum Distributors (Distribution Partners) within the Channel Business Unit, you will be the primary TE liaison to that Partner on a global basis. You will be accountable for driving growth, fostering strategic relationships, and ensure TE is recognized as a preferred supplier across our Distribution Partner locations, which will be an integral part of TE connectivity’s Go-To-Market.

 

Strategic Account Leadership

  • Own and execute the global account strategy for a major Distribution Partner.
  • Serve as the primary global interface between TE Connectivity and the Distributor.
  • Align TE’s full portfolio with the Distributor’s capabilities to maximize joint value creation.
  • Develop and implement a global account plan focused on market share, strategic growth, and customer satisfaction.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with global teams across Sales, Strategy, Engineering, Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Drive alignment across regions on pricing, AFG strategies, and execution consistency.
  • Lead internal reviews to share best practices and replicate success globally.

 

Growth & Execution

  • Deliver on revenue, pipeline, design wins, and customer experience metrics.
  • Analyze Distributor capabilities to identify operational synergies and growth opportunities.
  • Represent TE at executive-level Distributor meetings and industry events.

 

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Create and execute global sales plans to increase market share and profitability.
  • Drive strategic selling excellence and scale TE’s application expertise globally.
  • Leverage competitive insights to inform strategy and product positioning.

 

Team Leadership

  • Lead and align cross-regional, multi-functional teams across time zones.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on execution, innovation, and customer success.
  • Guide transformation efforts and elevate strategic selling capabilities.

 

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • 15+ years of sales leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline; MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years in matrixed, omnichannel environments (electronic/electrical distribution).
  • Experience in large, multinational, English-speaking organizations.
  • Proven success managing strategic global accounts and building executive-level relationships.
  • Deep understanding of Distributor value chains and strategic partnership models.
  • Strong commercial and technical acumen with global market insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute global sales strategies.
  • Consistent track record of exceeding sales goals and driving market share growth.
  • Collaborative leadership style with cross-functional and multicultural team experience.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, SAP, MS Office, and other enterprise systems.
