Job Overview

The Director, Product Management will lead the strategy, growth, and performance of a complex global product portfolio within a growing $500M business. This executive leadership role is responsible for defining the long-term product vision, developing and executing business strategies, and driving profitable growth across the portfolio.

Leading a global team of Product Managers, this individual will partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders to bring new products to market, optimize the existing portfolio, and ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives. Success in this role requires a strategic mindset, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead across regions while balancing long-term vision with operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the long-term product strategy, roadmap, and business plans for a global product portfolio.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Define market segmentation strategies, value propositions, go-to-market plans, channel strategies, and partnership opportunities.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle, from concept and development through commercialization and portfolio optimization.
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure products are developed and manufactured to meet cost, quality, schedule, and customer expectations.
  • Champion new product development initiatives and build compelling business cases that support investment decisions.
  • Develop annual operating plans, including sales, profitability, pricing, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to align business priorities and deliver strategic objectives.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand evolving needs and ensure product strategies align with market demands.
  • Lead successful product launches by partnering with Sales and Marketing on commercialization, enablement, and customer adoption strategies.
  • Provide demand forecasts and support sales planning activities.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, manage P&L accountability, and drive sustained profitable growth.
  • Resolve product-related issues, including quality, delivery, and commercial challenges, while continuously improving portfolio performance.
  • Identify and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and other initiatives that strengthen the business.
  • Build, coach, and develop a high-performing, globally distributed team while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $190,000 – 285,000  (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
