Job Overview

This position will serve as the leader of the HR function in the cluster by providing consistent oversight across all areas of HR, locations and Business Units, ensuring the best interests of TE are met.  The position will provide guidance on issues to local Business Unit leaders and facilitate a consensus when determining a path forward.  The role requires a sound level of skill and knowledge in all HR functional areas including Staffing & Recruiting, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Learning & Development, Performance Management, Talent Management, Engagement, Inclusion & Diversity and HR Operations. 

Serve as the single point of contact for all major HR matters, acting as the strategic HR Advisor to all the businesses operating in the cluster – coach and advise BU leaders/managers and HR partners.  Lead HR Solutions organization to support BU employees for established sites in alignment with BU priorities, including professional and transactional services.

Responsibilities & Qualifications


  • Directs, oversees and develops a geographically-based HR professional services organization, focused on providing HR services to managers and employees.
  • Partners with management to develop and implement HR strategies for the designated cluster region that are appropriate for their business needs and consistent with TE’s overall HR strategy, also partners effectively with other HR functions to direct and ensure the successful delivery of HR services. Proactively seeks to identify and resolve issues.
  • Directs HR programs to ensure TE's current and future HR requirements are met. These programs may include: recruitment; training, development; compensation; benefits; performance evaluation; organizational development; relocation; equal employment/affirmative action; HR administration; HR information systems; payroll; employee communications; employment/industrial/labor relations.
  • Counsels management on complex HR issues/problems and provides leadership and support in finding solutions. Serves as a facilitator/mediator to resolve complex problems, difficulties and grievances which are presented by employees.  Recommends appropriate measures such as training, reassignment, transfer or out-placement. Secures professional legal support from internal or external legal counsel as required.


  • HR Bachelor degree or above; HR related major preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional working experience in HR environment, HRBP related experience; HR knowledge and skills in variety of fields in international context, experience in managing teamsand experience as HR leader in providing HR management systems, processes and standards in accordance with business strategies and regulatory requirements for a complex global/international organization.
  • Leadership roles in other HR disciplines (HR Business Partner/HR Operations/Comp & Benefits/Talent Management). Leadership experience representing HR (internally and externally)
