Tasks and Responsibilities
Strategy:
•Develop and implement a regional strategy for warehousing and transportation that aligns with GLOG and Business Unit (BU) strategies.
Execution:
•Collaborate with regional leads from GLOG and BUs to monitor performance indicators (e.g., KPIs, Dashboard) and provide updates on BU and organizational changes. Maintain overall communication with Business Units.
•Provide leadership and support to local teams to ensure effective execution of strategies and operations.
•Oversee and support country-level operational warehouse activities, manage expenditures, and optimize the interplanetary warehouse network footprint.
•Manage and control logistics costs, budget, and KPI processes for plant warehouse operations, in collaboration with GLOG and BU functions (Planning, CSR, Controlling).
•Support the management of EHS (environment, health, and safety) performance at all plant warehouse locations in Tangier.
•Ensure the deployment and utilization of the TEOA Program to manage all plant warehouse operations.
•Drive continuous improvement in logistics processes for plant warehouse operations in close collaboration with plant operations teams.
•Establish regular reporting and review meetings for plant warehouse logistics operations with GLOG and BU staff.
•Work closely with the Trade Compliance team to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
What your background should look like:
Master's degree or equivalent experience
•Experience: Minimum of 7 years in logistics, warehousing, and transportation management, ideally in a manufacturing or plant operations environment. Strong knowledge of logistics industry and operations (warehousing, inventory management, and transportation).
•Strategic Planning: Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans for warehousing and transportation that align with business objectives.
•Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in guiding local and regional teams. Internal management experience and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
•Collaboration: Ability to coordinate and collaborate with multifunctional areas such as logistics, demand management, and financial analysis, and to overcome barriers to achieve business goals.
•Process Improvement: Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or TEOA, with a successful track record of driving process enhancements.
