Job Overview
Analyzes the insights of customers and competition to provide inputs for the pre-development work and offers technical expertise for pre and post-sale activities.
Your main tasks
-
1.Customer engagement & Business development:
•Early engagement with customers and channel partners through “consultative” selling mindset, articulate value proposition/benefits
•Strong application knowledge to identify current and future customer needs, Identify & develop new opportunities & applications for business growth
•Coordinate technical deliverables, recommend products/solutions for new & existing applications2.NPI Pipeline Development (Innovation):
•Identify potential NPI opportunities from customer interactions, with the ability to provide conceptual design and recommendations.
•Collect VOC and specify customer application and specification needs, draft Product Requirement Document (PRD) for new product development3.Tech Trends and Thought Leadership:
•Understand the market and leading customers’ technology, strategic direction, trends and unmet needs. Summarize and share the findings to PM and Engineering teams for future roadmap
•Publish thought leadership articles and papers online/ off-line
•Active participation in Tech-Days, Industry events and member of “standard setting” governing bodies4.Support existing business / other functions:
•Provide technical marketing support to new product launch and introduction, ensuring high quality content
•Drive customer issue resolution. Determine best course of action to solve technical problems, in required timeline5.New Markets /M&A
• Support New Market growth discussions to support market entry into new applications
• Relay attractive M&A / partnership options back to strategy teams
Your ideal Background
Technical engineer skilled in working directly with customers to understand their processes, identify unmet needs, and translate problems into solution proposals.
Ability to recommend existing products, custom solutions, or new product concepts.
