Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.

Job Responsibilities:

 

•    Development of Heredia TEOA deployment plans consistent with business unit strategic and operational planning.
•    Support and mentor site based lean practitioners to enable them to succeed in the TEOA deployment.
•    Identification and organization of resources required to achieve successful implementation in accordance with plan. 
•    Coordination of initiatives to achieve consistency and standardization across plants.
•    Manage and control individual project teams and deployment plans across all sites. 
•    Develop skill levels of practitioners and other site personnel to implement and sustain TEOA. 
•    Monitor progress against plans and achievement of continuous improvement and progression to higher star assessment levels at site levels. 
•    Monitor and report site level measurements and performance to star assessment levels. 
•    Deliver an extraordinary customer experience.


Qualifications:

 

•    Qualifications / certifications in Lean Practices a distinct advantage.
•    Minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading continuous improvement activities on site level (Lean leader or similar function)
•    5 years’ work experience in manufacturing industry
•    Experience using value stream mapping and implementing lean tools
•    Experience on driving kaizen events with proven results in at least the following areas: EH&S, 5S & Visual Management, Standard Work, SMED and TPM.
•    Strong project management skills
•    Ability to think strategically and execute tactically (i.e. deliver results)
•    Analytical minded and data driven.
•    Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels from shop floor to top management (strong leadership skills)
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering. 
•    Background experience in Medical Industry is preferred.
•    Fluent in both spoken and written English and Spanish language is essential.
•    Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is an advantage

•    Strong project management skills and proven experience.

•    Excellent communication and coaching skills at all levels of the organization. 
•    Team player with ability to establish and build consensus while insuring decisiveness and quality of decisions. 
•    Analytical, detail oriented, data driven style of decision making.
•    Highly motivated, results oriented, driven.
