Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

What your background should look like:

Educational Degree : University degree or equivalent education  
Bachelor/master’s degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent.

Professional Experience :  (years in what processes and function)    
•    Considerable experience in Production planning or Materials management in a plant/manufacturing environment 
•    Proven track record of supply chain improvements and related performance improvement results (e.g. inventory optimization, lot size optimization)
•    Working experience with supply chain planning systems and ERP systems (e.g. SAP) 
•    Experience in the Automotive Sector within a global organization is an advantage.

Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills  : 
•    Knowledge in supply chain/ master planning and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
•    Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills
•    Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
•    Results orientated and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
Strong communication skills, able to give direction in cross-functional environment, able to motivate and support colleagues in other functional areas
•    Fluent in English both written and spoken
