Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities:
1. Be responsible for KPIs related to productivity, delivery, and quality in the factory, and ensure the achievement of all indicators, including leading indicators.
2. Develop a supplier sourcing strategy (taking customer needs into consideration), classify strategic suppliers, maintain product footprint (including "make - or - buy" analysis), and promote global sourcing projects in cooperation with internal and external parties.
3. Promote the improvement of procurement KPIs (such as material productivity, lead - time, delivery, quality, etc.), and use tools to improve material productivity.
4. Cooperate with internal and external parties, lead and promote resource allocation, VA/VE projects, and be responsible for signing supplier commercial agreements.
5. Prepare RFQs, award new business, negotiate raw materials, etc., lead supplier rationalization (adding or reducing), and cooperate with cross - functional teams to develop new suppliers.
6. Monitor the capabilities and capacities of suppliers, be responsible for the accuracy of information records and POs and convey data to SCM, conduct QBRs and promote corrective actions.
7. Ensure the optimization of MOQ and lead - time of materials/components, establish supplier agreements, calculate impacts and get PIA approved, and provide data of OV tools to the finance department.
8. Maintain the health of suppliers through risk assessment, ensure compliance, and promote/support the department to comply with ISO - related matters.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree or above, with a mechanical engineering background preferred.
2. More than 10 years of experience in the sourcing field, with experience in specific processes (such as stamping, etc.), and those with experience in specific industries are preferred.
3. Possess problem - solving, analytical, and communication skills, a customer - centered and continuous - improvement attitude, project - management and multi - task - handling capabilities.
4. Be able to work in a multi - cultural matrix environment, develop strategies and plans, understand market trends, and be familiar with the supplier base.
5. Be proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office software, be fluent in English (at negotiation and conference - call levels), be proactive, detail - oriented, have strong analytical skills, and possess cross - functional skills.
