Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

What your background should look like:

The Global Product Manager (Power & Signal Heavy Duty Connectors and connectors from other business units) within Industrial Systems is responsible for leading Strategy development and deployment. This leader is responsible for revenue and gross margin attainment of the portfolio and plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic planning and commercial initiatives to scale the business substantially and achieve accelerated growth over the next 5 years. S/he will pursue an aggressive growth strategy focused on organic growth, support M&A work-streamlines and create an industry-leading global team equipped to drive new product introduction, go-to-market expansion, and entry into product adjacencies. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategy development & deployment
• Outline a clear portfolio strategy for the (Power & Signal Heavy Duty Connectors and connectors from other business units) that positions Industrial BU to deliver strong financial results. 
• Create breakthroughs (e.g., new market entry, new products, new business models,) through excellence in creating an ideas funnel, idea selection, prioritization, active experimentation and scale-up of proven ideas.
• Cascade vision and strategy throughout the organization and ties it to clear near-term plans and metrics. Creates buy-in from the organization for the plan through early engagement.
• Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
• Develop product and technology roadmaps that aligns with business strategy and market needs.
• Work with R&D and operations in the development of new products to meet current and future customer and market requirements.

Develop Business Plan
• Define resource requirements necessary to execute the product and technology roadmaps.
• Establish and execute pricing policy.
• Work effectively with the Regional Product Manager teams to drive execution of the product line strategies. 
• Improve customer intimacy of the team. Partner with the Sales organization and drive empowerment that accelerates speed and responsiveness while jointly defining GTM strategies.
• Execute flawlessly on value drivers and key priorities of the business. 
Drive the full P&L
• Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the (Power & Signal Heavy Duty Connectors and connectors from other business units).
• Deliver growth above market through strong NPI and share gain execution.
• Drive YoY gross margin expansion by improving product mix, developing and executing robust pricing strategies and driving operational productivity.
• Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution to gaps.
• Be a capable operator – achieve results by creating an operating rhythm for the business that helps the team accomplish topline and bottom-line results in a predictable manner. Can work effectively in highly matrixed organizations.

• 7+ of product management, strategy, business development with relevant P&L management experience preferred 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent; MBA preferred
• Acquainted with industrial automation
• Technical & market understanding of key industrial applications 
• Ability to support frequent travel up to 30% (both regional and global)
• English is proficient in oral and writing
