Job Overview

This position is responsible for the Technical support of High-Speed and Ultra-High-Speed Stamping Die operations under the direction of Engineering & Manufacturing.  This is a hands-on position involving Die set up through advanced process development and final conditioning of High-Speed Progressive Stamping Dies. The ideal candidate would perform technical duties related to Die Engineering Manufacturing Engineering nature, analyzing production tooling, processes and equipment of any Stamping manufacturing process. Makes recommendations to alter processes and/or rebuild tooling and equipment. Analyzes and refines existing processes.  Candidate would provide detailed support and evaluation of equipment, dies and auxiliary equipment for new and/or existing product lines. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Must understand Stamping Die Troubleshooting and Conditioning.
  • Demonstrates competency in and around the Stamping Press and all support equipment. 
  • Must have hands-on knowledge of Dies.
  • Provides responsive support to the Stamping department production line to ensure the safe manufacture of quality products to meet on time delivery schedule.
  • Works with Stamping/Die Engineering to identify root cause and to implement corrective and preventive measures to improve or ensure product quality across product lines.
  • Provides frequent and appropriate communications with all internal customers and supports the team goals.  
  • Ensures all documentation and manufacturing processes meet all TE requirements & documented in a clear and understandable way. 
  • Provides training and support to other Stamping personnel.
  • Strong Team Work skills.
  • Ensures and works with Production to implement any necessary safety controls or procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets, Power Point).
  • Proficient in print reading and must be able to navigate in CAD system to pull up and view CAD documents.
  • Must be able to communicate and work effectively with Die Engineering, Manufacturing and all internal and External Customers.

Qualifications:

  • State Approved Certified Tool & Die Maker preferred
  • 5+ years experience in High Speed Progressive Die Stamping.
  • Detailed hands-on knowledge of Stamping processes.
  • Ultra-High-Speed Stamping Die experience preferred.
  • Automotive Connector Stamping Die experience preferred.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Effective Mechanical Aptitude.
  • Effective communications skills (oral & written).
  • Proficient in English language
