Senior Manager, Marketing - Automotive Americas

As the Senior Manager, Marketing for Automotive Americas you will collaborate with colleagues across the business who are passionate about the work we do to develop marketing plans that deliver results for our employees, our customers and our business.

What you will be doing... The Senior Manager, Marketing will serve as the marketing leader for the Automotive Americas business. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, deploying and measuring the results of clear and compelling marketing programs that drive internal communications, localized campaigns, sales support and events. To be successful, you will quickly build strong relationships based on confidence and trust with key stakeholders across the Automotive Americas business including executive leadership, sales, product management, and human resources. You will partner seamlessly with your global marketing colleagues to ensure the priorities of the Automotive Americas business are reflected in broader campaigns and programs while relying upon the global marketing team for support executing digital, integrated and external communications activities. This role will require strong holistic marketing experience with particular expertise in internal communications, product marketing and demand generation. This role reports to the VP, Marketing for Transportation Solutions and serves as a member of the General Manager, Automotive Americas’ leadership staff. You will lead a direct report and collaborate with your colleagues in EMEA and Asia Pacific to ensure alignment on regional plans where appropriate.

What your background should look like:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field 7-10 years’ experience in developing B2B marketing and communications for technical products. Automotive experience is strongly preferred. 5+ years in a global role with strong cross-functional experience in a highly matrixed corporate environment. The ability to build strong relationships based on confidence and trust, as well as adapt quickly to changes in plans, goals or objectives will be key to success in this role.

Nice to have:

  • Strong understanding of event and exhibition management.
  • Experience working with agencies, external vendors and offshore marketing resources.
  • A strong understanding of the modern strategies and techniques used for building demand generation and awareness campaigns across a range of integrated and digital marketing disciplines, as well as experience in asset development, content curation, project management, social media and online/paid search.
