Product Sustaining Engineering Intern

Job Overview

As a Product Sustaining Engineering Intern on our Industrial and Commercial Transportation (ICT) team, you’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Complete projects related to industrial/commercial grade connector systems
  • Develop and implement product improvements and cost-saving opportunities
  • Revise product models, drawings, and specifications using CAD software
  • Prepare and submit product samples for testing & evaluation

Responsibilities

  • Gain a detailed understanding of specific products and become a technical expert
  • Align with various engineering teams to resolve product, quality, and manufacturing concerns
  • Analyze testing and inspection data to validate part performance
  • Maintain project timelines by implementing interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
  • Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited University or College for the duration of the Internship
  • Interest in automotive electronics and technology
  • CAD experience is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a desire to learn

Compensation  
Competitive pay commensurate with experience: $18 to $27 per hour (subject to change dependent on physical location) 
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
