Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Administrative Support Teams are responsible for office administration and daily clerical duties including basic schedule planning, travel arrangements, documentation, and file maintenance. Other responsibilities include scheduling conferences/meeting rooms and responding to general inquiries. They create and maintain office documentation and files and review drafts and finished internal/external communication documents.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Plastics Intern will work within the Strategic Tooling Center (STC) and Process Engineering Groups. This role will support Manufacturing Development Engineers in daily activities relating to the design, deployment and optimization of injection molds.

 The Intern will work within the Strategic Tooling Center’s engineering department to provide mold design modeling support for Design for Manufacturability reviews, engineering support for new injection mold tooling builds, and Scientific Injection Molding process experience to support developing processes for new molds.

 This position will run (14) consecutive weeks from May 2017 through August 2017 and be based out of Winston Salem, NC.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented sophomore or junior currently working toward a Bachelor's Degree in Plastics Engineering and who meets the following qualifications:
•A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
•Proficient with Creo
•Scientific Injection Molding process experience is preferred
•Demonstrated project management capabilities with an emphasis on strategic thinking, teamwork, and results-driven implementation
•Comfort dealing with ambiguity and ability to manage multiple projects
 Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
