Enterprise Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management (PDM) solutions have long been a strength of TE Connectivity.  The Digital Engineering Solutions (DES) organization is focused on understanding how our businesses design, manufacture and introduce new products throughout the product lifecycle. Typical process areas they concentrate on include: Portfolio and Program Management, Part/BOM/CAD Data Management, Engineering Change Management, Component and Supplier Management and Product/Regulatory Compliance.
 
Digital Engineering Solutions has an opportunity for an individual capable of serving in a key role to analyze and improve our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) capabilities within the PTC Windchill platform with the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Architect comprehensive solutions based on system requirements
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable Windchill technical solutions.
  • Stay current with Windchill releases and industry best practices to continuously improve solution effectiveness.
  • Develop, maintain and unit test application enhancements
  • Collaborate with business analysts and application development colleagues to understand, estimate and prioritize application enhancements
  • Maintain source code control through proper storage and vaulting procedures
  • Documenting of source code improvements in accordance with standard departmental practices
  • Communicate with software vendors to request enhancements when appropriate
  • Work within different development methodologies (agile, waterfall)
  • Contribute and research ideas for continuous improvement opportunity pipeline of applications within the engineering solutions portfolio
  • Utilize technologies such as Java, Oracle and SQL

Job Requirements

  • Education Required/Desired:
    • Bachelor of Science / Art in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience. MBA or Master’s in related area is a plus.
  • 8-10 years of experience with globally deployed Windchill PDMLink installations
  • Strong spoken and written English language communication
  • Strong demonstrated ability to work independently and across organizational boundaries
  • Strong problem-solving skills. 
  • Proficient in Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, SQL, and debugging tools.
  • Open minded, eager to learn
  • Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends
  • Experience working in the electronic components manufacturing industry, aerospace, automotive, military, energy or sensors industries
  • Domain knowledge Design Engineering or PDM systems
  • Have experience managing remote teams and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

Candidate Desired Profile:

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field or local equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible professional level experience
