Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

Job Overview
Process Engineer will be responsible for the technical coordination and launch of all project related manufacturing processes according the quality, cost, and timing targets.
 
ROLE SUMMARY
•    Responsible core team member for process side in a cross functional project core team of the product development process
•    Define standard process flow to manufacture a new product considering product and process platform, design-to-manufacturing capabilities, roadmap and footprint strategy 
•    Define and driving the process data (cycle time, number of operators, scrap rate, capex) for the manufacturing processes.
•    Lead High Voltage connector process concept and design review,prevent/mitigate the process development potential risk
•    Lead High Voltage connector production non-standard equipment concept and design review, driving the process workflow and equipment solution
•    Drive the B and C sample build, the debugging of tools and equipment until final release  
•    Manage process defect analysis, take prevent action, best practice and lesson learn share to team members
•    Ensure timely execution of Manufacturing Readiness Level deliverables (Flow chart, PFMEA, WI, EP, DOE, MSA)
•    Create and maintain tooling record in Tooling Lifecycle Management system, and release tooling drawing in PDM-Link system.
•    Lead and participate customer audit, coordinate engineer team follow up improvement action
•    Coordinate the transfer of tools and equipment to the final production location until Operations Sign-Off
