Job Overview
We are offering an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced automation professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with team leadership. In this role, you will lead a highly skilled team of software, robotics, vision systems and automation specialists while driving the development and implementation of innovative special-purpose machinery and testing systems.
You will be responsible for managing complex automation projects from concept through commissioning, working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure profitability, quality, and on-time delivery. This position provides the opportunity to shape advanced manufacturing solutions, contribute to cutting-edge technologies, and play a key role in the success of challenging international projects.
Job Requirements

Lead a team of 6 specialists consisting of PLC programmers (Beckhoff, Siemens), vision systems engineers (Halcon, Neurocheck), robotics engineers, and testing equipment engineers

Plan and manage software and machine/system concepts

Coordinate project scope and tasks in collaboration with other departments

Take responsibility for achieving project objectives in terms of profitability, quality, and on-time delivery

Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

Coordinate external programmers

Develop PLC programs and visualization systems for special-purpose machines and testing systems

Commission special-purpose machines and testing systems
What your background should look like
- Completed technical education (technical college, university of applied sciences, or university degree) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Previous people management responsibility or leadership experience is preferred
- Ideally, relevant professional experience in PLC programming, preferably with Beckhoff control systems
- Practical experience in automation and plant engineering is desirable
- Very good German and English language skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally
- Category B driver's license

Compensation
We are legally required to state the collective agreement minimum salary for this position. The minimum salary is €4,100 gross per month (paid 14 times per year). A higher salary is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
