Job Overview

Responsible for a small team of HR employees that provides geographically-based HR professional services to a client group of managers and employees at GM+3 and below (Austria). Key responsibilities include:

Tasks

  • Supports management in implementing established HR policies, procedures, and practices to meet requirements supporting short- and long-term business needs
  • Manages administration and implementation of various HR programs and policies such as recruitment, employee training and development, compensation, benefits, performance appraisal and recognition plans
  • Works with managers to identify HR issues/problems and provides support in finding solutions
  • Ensures compliance of TE’s practices with applicable labor legislation and collective labor agreements
  • Investigates and evaluates union complaints or disputes to determine viability. May present the position of TE during arbitration or other labor negotiations
  • Applies the TEOA principles and tools to continuously improve HR processes and services
  • Supervises, motivates and assesses performance of a small team of HR professionals

 

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor degree or above; HR related major preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional working experience in HR environment
  • Minimum 3+ years HR Generalist/HR BP related experience; breadth of HR knowledge and skills in variety of fields, preferably in international context
  • Previous managerial experience may be preferred
  • Has served as an HR business partner, generalist or in other HR disciplines, which provided both vertical and horizontal exposure and experience
  • Detects internal and environmental changes and is able to use available resources in a timely, flexible, affordable and relevant manner, in order to respond to those changes effectively
  • Applicable local employment laws and practices
  • German an English fluent
