Job Overview

The Operation Capital Investment Manager is responsible for all Operations related capital budgets for current and future Automotive products and processes. This critical role will be able to seamlessly balance operational and financial aspects of the investment needs, ensure the operation investment are fully aligned to the business strategies. This highly organized individual with a strong financial and operational background will conduct analysis that leads to sound investment business decisions.

This can be a remote position or performed in another TE Connectivity locations in Germany.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture and manage all Operations capital investment needs for current and future products and processes.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Footprint, Supply Chain and Capacity management teams to validate the investment needed for capacity improvement and localization plans. 
  • Build trusted cross-functional networks as well as all levels (from peers to executives) to accomplish goals.
  • Model capital decision analysis and provide recommendations to leadership that support business directions.
  • Drive the tracking and reporting of capital related expenditures versus forecast and budget and prepare various reports as needed.
  • Review performance vs original plan, and provide recommendation and actions for recovery.
  • Work closely with PM team to identify negative margin products and collaborate on recovery plans. 
  • Manage capacity analyst team to provide accurate and real time data that drives actions for capacity changes.
  • Develop capacity & capex roadmap in consideration of: business growth; utilization-, efficiency increases & innovation; use/reuse of standard equipment & tools; alignment with footprint strategies and flow design

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree (business administration, finance or industrial engineering).
  • 5-10+ years related experience.
  • Hands-on financial experience performing budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
  • Demonstrated analytical, logic and financial modeling abilities
  • Strong data analytical skills and logical thinking
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes (Stamping & Plating, Injection mold & Assembly process)
  • Strong communication abilities (written and verbal)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • The capability to travel dogmatically and internationally
