MATERIALS PLANNING SUPPORT III
Job Overview
The Materials Planning Support role is responsible for supporting daily production and material planning activities. The role ensures accuracy in SAP transactions, supports inventory movement, and upholds safety and quality standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining organised workflows, accurate system data, and timely execution of production plans.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all site safety rules and contribute to achieving site safety objectives.
- Follow all standard procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support the timely completion of daily and weekly production schedules.
- Understand and follow relevant production and inventory documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and system logs.
- Promote good organization and housekeeping using 5S+1 practices.
- Carry out any additional tasks or duties as assigned by your supervisor.
- Ensure All production orders are supplied as a complete kit.
- Run and action the 914 Variance Report to identify and resolve material discrepancies.
- Change production orders (adjust quantities, dates, or materials as needed).
- Create and delete dynamic storage bins based on storage requirements.
- Generate and review the Daily Hours Report for labour or time tracking.
Job Responsibilities Continued:
- Resolve missed confirmations in production orders.
- Print and manage shop floor Production orders, product labels, and pallet labels.
- Block and unblock stock in SAP using MIGO transactions.
- Cancel production order confirmations and Transfer Orders (TOs) when needed.
- Investigate and correct COGI errors.
- Enter Production order confirmations using CO11N.
- Perform consolidation of orders and materials.
- Utilize COOIS reports to track and analyse production order data.
- Delete unnecessary Transfer Requirements (TRs).
- Post Goods Issue (GI) to production orders for both Kanban and picked components.
- Execute inventory adjustments to align system with physical stock.
- Initiate and monitor Kanban replenishment activities weekly.
- Move stock within SAP as required by production needs.
- Order materials in line with production demand and planning requirements.
- Prioritisation and direction of workflow from the daily plans.
- Frequent alignment and co-ordination with both Planning and Logistics teams.
- Supporting the areas schedule adherence, reviewing any lates or early orders.
- Supporting Root cause analysis for any routings related tasks.
What your background should look like:
- Proven experience with SAP ERP (MM/PP/WM modules preferred).
- Understanding of production planning and inventory control principles.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S+1 methodologies.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environment is an asset.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
- Familiarity with the SAP system is advantage.
