Strategic Inventory Manager

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

We are looking for a strategic-minded inventory expert with the energy to fully engage with our internal teams to ensure we are meeting our business commitments while providing an optimal experience for our customers.  The Strategic Inventory Manager will be responsible for understanding and interpreting detailed data, creating a robust inventory strategy and influencing key stakeholders globally to ensure business alignment.  

*This role can sit in either Winston Salem or be remote.   

 

Responsibilities:


•    Drive inventory optimization coordinating with Supply Chain teams.
•    Define and Maintain Inventory Strategy for Imported Components
•    Define and Maintain Inventory Strategy for Purchased Components
•    Defined and Maintain Inventory Strategy for Locally Manufactured Components
•    Apply program management and analytical skills to drive continues improvement and improve inventory performance
•    Overview the implementation of the inventory strategies, including MRP parameters, and continues optimization 
•    Drive Inventory Metric in alignment with financial expectations, and customer service level 
 

What your background should look like:

•    Education in Supply Chain Management or relevant degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience

•    Experienced change management facilitator with strong stakeholder influencing skills
•    Extensive Inventory Management and Demand Strategy experience
•    Solid enterprise resource planning systems knowledge and proven track record of leading and delivering efficiency improvements.
•    Ability to break down business challenges into smaller pieces and translate them into solutions
•    Experience managing complex components with deep BOMs and diverse supply chains
•    Good organizational and communications skills with cultural competence in a global environment
•    High level of energy, enjoys fast-paced work environments

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $107k – 140k (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
