TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication, and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

The Automotive segment is looking for a Sr. Mgr. of Project Management to manage the project management office through a team of managers and supervisors.   The team will be based in Winston Salem, NC and there's a strong preference for this position to be located there.    A blended/hybrid work arrangement may be possible for the right candidate.    Relocation assitance available for the right candidate.    


Responsibilities include:


•    Planning, budgeting, staffing, of the Project Management Office
•    Proactively work with all functions in managing / securing resources for the effective completion of projects
•    Manages risk and compliance across the project’s portfolio
•    Defines and drives PMO best practices
•    Leads the identification and implementation of project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards to establish a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders to successfully deliver projects
•    Creates and improve policies, procedures, and tools to establish consistent application of project management principles across all projects 
•    Provides regular health checks of the portfolio to all stakeholders 
•    Owns the LeanPD process in the organization, and ensures the effective execution of PAC (Project Approval Committee)
•    Enabling and Mentoring a high performing team, with clear focus on talent development 
•    Partners with Sales and Product Management in defining appropriate products that meet our customer expectations, market share, and margin

What your background should look like:

Bachelor’s degree (technical); Formal project management education and/or PMP certification is preferred 

•    10yr+ Project Management Experience with successive responsibility 
•    Strong change management expertise 
•    Experience in the Automotive / Transportation industry
•    Experience with project management software and techniques such as Microsoft Pro
•    LEAN or Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience 
•    Global work experience, working across regions and cultures 
•    Experience leading global teams, including matrix assignments 
•    Experience across multiple businesses, division and/or technologies that cross regional boundaries 
•    Experience in leading an organization in a complex, matrix environment

•    Fluent in English; both written and spoken
•    Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•    Culturally sensitive
•    Ability to interact with customers
•    Working knowledge of the manufacturing processes, such as Molding, plating, stamping and assembly
•    Comfortable negotiating with senior leaders across the organization 
•    Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organisation

The role will involve up to 25% travel: some international.
