Senior Manager - Continuous Improvement

TE Connectivity is currently searching for a Sr. Manager of Continuous Improvement to drive TEOA deployment within the engineering function. The individual performing the role can be based virtually and ideally would be located near one of our engineering centers of mass; Harrisburg PA, Greensboro NC, Bensheim Germany or Shanghai China.  Other major cities/locations will be considered.


Reporting to the Vice President, Global Quality, Customer Experience and Business Process TEOA, the TEOA Sr. Manager of Engineering will provide global leadership to deploy TE’s lean business system, TEOA, across the engineering function for all business units.  By partnering with engineering leaders / executive sponsors and working with TEOA teams, the individual in this role will accelerate process improvement and development of TEOA culture to enable ECE and business growth. 


As an engineering and TEOA subject matter expert, this person will coach and mentor individuals and teams, guide leadership and influence across adjacent functions to create a competitive advantage for TE through world class engineering effectiveness. The individual who is successful in this role will be positioned to move into a regional/global engineering leadership position within a TE business unit if desired.



  • Lead the implementation of annual strategic priorities and identify, design, and construct programs and projects to improve Continuous Improvement across engineering.
  • Drive execution of annual objectives; coach and indirectly manage teams; establish program performance metrics; and deliver process excellence support.
  • Create oversight on the progress of measurable KPI’s through monthly tracking and review meetings with senior staff and executive management.
  • Identify opportunities and proactively lead lean (TEOA) implementation, Kaizen events, and Hoshin activities to improve business operating performance and achieve yearly business goals.
  • Align with key stakeholders to ensure overall Continuous Improvement metrics, philosophy, and business system is aligned to their organizational strategy. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders to create a mindset and culture of Continuous Improvement. 
  • Create visibility of TEOA adoption progress at site, BU and functional levels and resolve roadblocks as needed
  • Partner with the engineering communications team to share successes/best practices and inspire engagement in TEOA across the enterprise
  • Support strategies and initiatives to enable achievement of strategic goals for the company as a member of the Engineering Network



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or related discipline
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience in a related position or in business process continuous improvement preferred
  • Prior exposure to developing and implementing strategic plans and processes
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in a global environment
  • Critical thinking and decision making
  • Proven “change agent” capability with experience driving lean process and organizational transformation across multiple functions and levels within the organization
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate in the language of the business and align continuous improvement activities and initiatives to maximize impact
  • Experience capturing voice of the customer and translating customer needs into process improvement priorities
  • Strong track record of delivering results
