Senior Logistics Manager

Job Overview

The Sr. Logistic Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of transportation within AUT Americas, incl. the streams between plants, to Customers, from Suppliers and to Suppliers. The target will be continuous improvement and cost savings while delivering best in class solutions for internal and external stakeholders with a focus on Global Logistics management.

 

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Define the strategy plan and KPIs for AUT Americas transportation with the overall target to improve operational performance and to reduce transportation costs.
  • Measure, manage and improve operational performance of AUT Americas transportation flows in collaboration with Global Logistics, transportation service, Integrated Supply Chain, and Procurement.
  • Partner with Global Logistics to manage and improve operational performance of transportation service providers and ensure lowest possible transit times while ensuring lowest possible costs.
  • Develop Freight cost savings strategies with Operations, Procurement, Global Logistics, Supply Chain and Sales towards Customers, Carriers and Suppliers.
  • Identify issues, improve continuously, use best practices and benchmarks, perform root-cause-analysis and initiate change management to resolve or escalate issues.
  • Install premium freight control tower in close collaboration with Global Logistics for better utilization and milkrun on premium freights cross plants and Customers.
  • Managing Mexico, US, and Global Logistics optimization and strategy and managing the Freight Shipping lanes from EMEA, SA and APAC (Air and Ocean)
  • Lead the Premium freight optimization (courier, hand carry, charters, consolidated, etc)
  • Drive deep Analytics on high frequent lanes down to root cause and future avoidance actions with recommendations to the Management in order to identify the best optimal routes.
  • Lead, engage and develop a team of logistics professionals.

What your background should look like:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related
  • 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing/Transportation/Logistics environment
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of SAP
  • Knowledge of Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes
  • Experience working in automotive business will be a differential
  • Global Logistics experience
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Spanish will be a differential

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $120,400 to $153,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
