Program Manager IV - Key Automotive OEM

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Program Management Teams are responsible for leading a cross functional team to deliver major customer programs within budget and time limitations in accordance with technical specifications and profit objectives. They manage customer programs (customized engineered solutions for particular end customer platforms) from bid preparation through production. Their duties include: developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements; assembling cross-functional program teams with members from engineering, procurement, sales, production, materials management and quality; serving as the main point of contact for the customer for all negotiations, decision making, scheduling issues, and problem solving throughout the program; monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met; and arranging modifications as required.

Job Responsibilites

•    Global lead – coordinates across regions (EMEA/APAC)
•    Works directly with designated project managers in APAC and EMEA
•    Lead project discussions and internally organize across product segments to ensure seamless execution on new opportunities and new program launches
•    Set project schedule and milestones according to customer program timing
•    Ensure the projects are staffed adequately and support functional manager alignments
•    Lead project teams and ensure common understanding of project objectives and goals
•    Be the major customer interface in terms of project progress and meeting coordination.  Hunter mentality, uncovering major programs at customer.
•    Know the critical path, potential risks and ensure the availability of appropriate mitigations
•    Make sure potential change requests are clearly understood in all aspects and impacts are being considered and addressed accordingly
•    Ensure the availability of all project required deliverables in time accordingly
•    Ensure a very structured, well documented and efficient stakeholder communication
•    Steer resolution & escalation processes with internal and external stakeholders
•    Promote cross-functional collaboration and alignments between involved departments
•    Hold the team accountable and ensure a great and disciplined working atmosphere
•    Ensure and support flawless serial launches and handover to operations

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration, advanced business degree preferred
•    Minimum five years’ experience in Operations
•    Thorough knowledge of general accounting practices and theory
•    In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes (Injection mold & Assembly process)
•    Strong data analytical skills and logical thinking
•    Large scale project management experience preferred
•    Strong communication abilities (written and verbal)
•    Ability to drive accountability and operational tempo amongst core team
•    Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a virtual team
•    The capability to travel dogmatically and internationally

Technical engineering background /experience
