Job Overview 

 

At TE Connectivity, you’ll help bring our purpose to life by creating a safer, sustainable, productive and connected future. Your role as ​an Intern​ in the ​Global Operations​ Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by:

 

  • Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving manufacturing processes using structured problem-solving skills.
  • Support Operations in resolving production issues and implementing permanent solutions.
  • Be in a dynamic role where you will improve yields, assist with quality controls, and improve process capability.

 

 

Responsibilities 

 

At TE Connectivity, you’ll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you’ll:

 

  • Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments.
  • Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures.
  • Assist in planning, organization, and conducting all aspects of technical studies.
  • Provide engineering support for other departments as needed.
  • Works on special administrative projects as directed and prioritized by manager such as data entry, data analysis, filing, organizing, and maintaining files.
  • Prepare and complete a presentation to the department and for personal portfolio at the end of the internship showing project status and achievements.

 

 

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you: 

 

  • Have earned a high school diploma or GED
  • Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a ​BA/BS​ Degree in ​Mechanical Engineering​ or ​Electrical & Computer Engineering​ from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
  • Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S.
