Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Automotive Americas Finance Team has an opening for a Financial Analyst III. As the primary Finance Business Partner for the Americas Product Management team “PM Finance”, this role will provide accurate, insightful, and timely financial analysis while driving profitable growth and monitoring key indicators for Product Line financial performance, risk, and opportunities. This role will lead Product Line forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to the Operating Income level, with specific attention to the impacts of volume, pricing, and product cost changes. Being a newly established function within Automotive Americas, this role will require the ability to develop processes and analytic tools to achieve best-in-class decision support.
Job Requirements
• Perform ad-hoc billings/bookings and margin analysis to identify trends, gaps and business insights
• Align various sources of data supporting Revenue projections (current and overdue backlog, new programs, pricing updates, etc.) into a rolling 12-month outlook
• Analyze product costs in support of pricing activities, cost reduction/margin improvement and other initiatives
• Understand and report changes in customer mix and product mix reflected in standard margin
• Working with Finance, Costing, Operations, and Procurement teams, isolate variances to standard cost relevant to individual product line(s)
• Analyze for manufacturing cost improvement and footprint initiatives.
• Support organic growth initiatives through investment proposal analysis and headcount
• Validate business case and project investments for new product development (PAC/pre-PAC)
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses/pro-forma statements for specific product lines as needed
• Support preparation of the Strategic Plan and quarterly commit forecasts
• Analyze variances to forecast and prior year and translate them into insights for PM and Auto Americas Leadership Team
• Proactively communicate potential risks & opportunities, through variance, bridges & decision support analysis
• Support and validate inputs into the S&OP and demand management process
• Proactively apply TEOA-F principles to continuously improve financial and other associated processes
• Analyze potential impact of part changes and sourcing or production process changes to the standard cost
• Coordinate preparation and submission of monthly product line Operating Income reports and forecasts
• Act as the Finance point-of-contact for Product Management and Commercial team
• Partner with PM to support revenue growth and expand margins
• Prepare report and dashboard distribution focused on product performance
What your background should look like
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• 5 to 7 years' experience in financial analyst or accounting positions required; experience in multiple financial/analytical disciplines is a plus (financial planning, sales analysis, costing, operations finance, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis and financial modeling required
• Significant Excel proficiency required; prior experience with SAP and bolt-on modules (i.e., BPC, SAP Analytics Cloud), Hyperion, Oracle Essbase, Business Objects, Power BI, and/or Alteryx/Tableau experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles and process required
• Strong oral and written communications skills and presentation skills required must be comfortable providing both detailed and executive-summary level communications
• Must be proficient in English language

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $89,700 - $112,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
