Job Overview
The Global Operations Corporate Facilities business unit is seeking to fulfill a Construction Management intern position to support Facilities Construction Management team. Interns will be responsible for supporting the Construction Management team with their day-to-day activities, learning the engineering process, project management, and develop design skills. In addition to the activities just listed, interns will also have the responsibility to manage and drive small construction projects. The projects will require the use of skills learned throughout the summer and provide meaningful benefit to the project customers. Interns will also be expected to document their results and provide a summary presentation to the Corporate Facilities team at the end of the internship.
Responsibilities
Assist with construction estimates with the Construction Team.
Assist with preparing meeting minutes, agendas, printing documents for reviewing.
Inspect workmanship of completed installation including punch list items.
Understanding of construction safety practices, OSHA regulations, federal, State, and local
requirements. Ensure that all contractors are compliant with TE contractor safety program.
You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:
• Have Received a High School Diploma or GED
• Are currently enrolled in a program or pursuing a BA/BS Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university or have equivalent work history. (In certain circumstances, students who are taking a gap year will be considered.)
• Have previous internship or large project experience is preferred
• Are authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $19.24--$40.84/HOUR (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Our internship program typically runs May thru August and gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 10–12-week program, interns will be provided with:

Timeline
TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you have applied to a position, your resume and application will be reviewed. If you are selected to move to the next step in the application process, you will be contacted by a recruiter. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin in January for interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
