Job Overview

 We are in search of a Tool & Die maker with a minimum of 15 years of experience.  This person must be able to manufacture tooling and parts with little direct supervision.  The required experience must include manual mill, lathe, and surface grinders as well as CNC mill and CNC mill/turn lathe. Proficiency in the operation of Wire EDM is also desired. 

What your background should look like:

  • Uses tool and die making skills to construct jigs, fixtures, dies, and other tooling as required.
  • Maintains and repairs dies, molds, and tools when needed; disassembles molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures, then reassembles when repaired.
  • Reads and understands blueprints and CAD models as required to create and build new fixtures, tools, and machine parts.
  • Use Mastercam software to create and modify tooling models.
  • Inspects completed tools and dies for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect functionality.
  • Regularly tests all equipment, tools, and machines to ensure they are arranged and set properly and working efficiently.
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to safely and accurately operate all machining equipment.
  • Thorough understanding of metallic properties and heat treatment of steel.
  • Ability to work independently or in a group with engineers and other toolmakers.
  • Proficient with Mastercam 2022 software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $59k-$88K (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
