Job Overview

Senior Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities: 

  • Lead Engineers and Technicians through example and mentorship
  • Define and implement appropriate equipment reliability methodologies as it pertains to Grinding and Metals manufacturing equipment. (EDM, Centerless, Surface Grinding)
  • Diagnosing process issues within Grinding Environment. 
  • Support diagnosis of equipment failure. 
  • Lead cost reduction projects in cross-functional teams.
  • Write technical documentation, such as process instructions, process validation plans and reports, process development plans and reports, and non-conforming material reports.
  • Perform root cause investigations and execute corrective actions for non-conforming products using analytical tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D
  • Adhere to quality and compliance standards to ensure safe and effective use of the devices TE manufactures. Identify best practices and share globally. 
  • Define capex requirements for your area of responsibility including adhering to all internal CER process requirements  
  • Evaluate process areas to ensure optimization from an efficiency and cost perspective.    Collaborate effectively with others across the organization to collectively achieve business objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, non-verbal, and visual methods.

What your background should look like:

  • You have exceptional communication skills and can effectively engage both internal and external customers 
  • Not required but encouraged having in-depth knowledge pertaining to any of the following manufacturing processes: Centerless Grinding, Surface Grinding, Cleaning Processes. 
  • You have experience in electrical, controls or other equipment troubleshooting.  
  • You have a BS/MS in Manufacturing engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or a related engineering degre  
  • You have 5+  years of experience in an advanced manufacturing company with progressive levels of responsibility. 
  • Track record of project completions that deliver business results
  • You have a passion for six sigma and statistical methodology in manufacturing process development and control. 
  • You thrive on coming up with new ideas and leading others to do the same. 
  • You can adapt to work priorities in response to a rapidly changing environment. 
  • Any medical device manufacturing experience you have would be valued, but it is not required.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $101,000 - $151,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
