Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

 

  • Performs analysis of customer demand, sales forecasts and historical material usage to develop and execute build to order and build to forecast plans (S&OP). 
  • Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to develop the best economic strategy for production planning to support customer demand. 
  • Coordinate and work with quality, engineering, and operations to ensure on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues. 
  • Manage cross-functional, fully integrated planning process that incorporates, capacity planning, scheduling, inventory, material and associated cost elements. 

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Optimization and planning in comparable environment, close to manufacturing operations.
  •  Demonstrated results driving supply chain improvements and measurable key performance improvement results.
  • Comprehensive supply chain planning experience (Capacity planning, supply planning, master production scheduling, inventory control).
  • General knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (E.g. SAP- PP module is a plus).
  • Proficiency with all MS Office Programs
  • Leadership and communication skills, including presentations, able to give direction in cross-functional environment, able to motivate and support and influence colleagues in other functional areas.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization- driving results locally and achieving and answering for contribution to overall business unit and corporate goals.
  •  Committed, entrepreneurial, proactive working attitude (driver for change)
  •  Strong analytical, detailed oriented, financial, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Other Certifications or system integration experience – E.g Kinaxis, IBP is a plus.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $82,000 – $122,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
