Quality and Reliability Technician III

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

What your background should look like:

As a Quality & Reliability Technician III you maybe responsible for:

Dispositioning and figuring out root causes, corrections and and corrective actions for non conformances
Using drawings, production instructions, quality and other documents to determine if a and what kind of nonconformance 
has occurred
Reviewing and editing quality and operational documents to improve clarity of the document instructions and improve quality 
of product
Measuring part dimensions and gathering data from existing sources
Analyzing data and data organization
Use, review and improve FMEAs
Create work instructions
Create and manage engineering change orders
Perform risk assessments
Writing deviations and special instructions to diagnose and repair products
Initial area of quality responsibility will be cable manufacturing
Teaching operators, inspectors and technicians about quality and documentation
First Article Inspection and Reports
Working with general tasks assigned and able to create specific steps to complete tasks
Organizing and prioritizing your time
Contributing to continuous improvement projects 

Your background should include: 
NCRs, procedure or quality documentation writing and or editing, manufacturing experience, inspection experience, 
basic electrical knowledge, ability to read drawings, spreadsheet experience, familiarity with document editing and spreadsheet 
software, mathematics and statistics, understanding of cabling machines, problem solving, organization, multi-tasking, 
quality inspection, effective communication, microscope and automated vision system measurement programming, working well with other 
employees, learning and doing new things, engineering change orders, lean methodologies.
