Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams manage the movement of materials through the production cycle, determining quantities, order dates, and initiating requisitions. They develop schedules based on forecasts and historical analysis, create specifications for contract orders, and plan for labor requirements. The team provides input on supplier performance, participates in supplier reviews, and monitors subcontracts for cost, schedule, and scope.
Job Requirements
Revise the schedule daily based on new orders and input from planning, manufacturing, and customer service teams.
Collaborate in meetings and emails with production area supervisors, leads, and managers to address capacity constraints and ensure on-time deliveries.
Monitor and strategically adjust orders in the ERP system to achieve on-time delivery metrics.
Streamline and expedite production by splitting orders and updating job travelers in alignment with quality documents.
Analyze efficiencies and productivity in assigned production areas to improve product delivery.
Manage Kanban inventory levels and replenishment with input from customer service.
Review and maintain stocking levels for Kanban parts in the ERP system, setting up minimum and maximum quantities based on order line and release sizes.
Provide lead times to customer service based on the plant schedule and loading.
Review the Shop load tool in PowerBI for available capacity in production areas to determine lead times.
Generate master production schedules in accordance with sales and operation plans.
Manage outsourced suppliers by creating purchase orders, open reports, and maintaining open communication.
Retrieve job travelers from the shipping department and create purchase orders for outsourced supplier shipments.
Perform analytics using monthly Open Order Reports to create outsourced supplier forecasts.
Review monthly reports on aging outsourced purchase orders, investigate aging orders, and follow up with suppliers, shipping, and R&I.
Perform analytics using ERP tools for outsourcing supplier on-time delivery to track metrics.
Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels within the company, demonstrating organizational and interpersonal skills.
Interact daily with employees, maintaining a clean and organized work zone, and embody TE Values: Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, and Innovation.
Handle confidential information, and write routine reports and correspondence.
Obtain access to customer names, blueprints, equipment, and resources for procuring goods and services.
Shift is: Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm.
What your background should look like
•High School Diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
•1 year or plus of relevant experience needed.
•Demonstrate past capabilities to learn computer systems (Microsoft office skills is an example, past ERP experience preferred but not required.)
•Strong communication skills, the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment, work collaboratively with your peers. Particular focus for this role is placed on a clear and professional telephone manner and the ability to build cross business (internal/external) relationships both on the phone, email and face to face.
•The ability to work under pressure, be flexible, reliable and able to deliver results per specific targets in direct support of departmental goals and objectives.
•Strong organization skills.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $54,700 – $82,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
