MAINTENANCE MECHANIC III

At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.

Job Overview

At TE Connectivity, our Maintenance Teams play a critical role in supporting the longevity and operational efficiency of our manufacturing equipment and infrastructure. Each team member is not only tasked with performing repairs and conducting preventive maintenance, but also with upholding the highest standards in cleanliness, organization, and safety. This includes strict adherence to Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures as outlined by TE Connectivity. Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment is a shared responsibility across the team.

The candidate selected will work 4, 10 hour shifts a week.

  • Provide comprehensive maintenance support for high-volume production equipment, particularly in the areas of heat shrink tubing and thermoplastic extrusion. This includes both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

  • Install, initiate, and shut down machinery according to established company safety procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations—specifically Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.

  • Proactively investigate equipment issues, diagnose problems, and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime and production delays.

  • Assist in maintaining a well-organized and accurate spare parts inventory. Responsibilities include researching required components, placing orders, and maintaining inventory records for tracking and future reference.

  • Execute assigned tasks based on verbal instructions, technical drawings, blueprints, or rough sketches. This work often requires minimal supervision and demands a high level of autonomy and accuracy.

  • Conduct scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) on various machines and production equipment to ensure continued operational reliability and avoid unexpected breakdowns.

  • Continuously review existing PM procedures and contribute suggestions for improvements based on observations, technical knowledge, and equipment performance history.

  • Lead or participate in emergency repair efforts for machinery or systems that are malfunctioning or have failed. Quick response and effective problem-solving are critical in these situations to restore operations as swiftly as possible.

  • Complete all assigned tasks and maintenance tickets on time, demonstrating reliability and a strong commitment to productivity.

  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and fellow technicians to provide insights and feedback that support future project planning and execution.

  • Foster effective communication with all levels of personnel, from fellow maintenance team members to line operators and production supervisors. Clear communication helps identify problems early and leads to faster, more effective resolutions.

  • Display professionalism and a proactive mindset in daily work activities. Dependability, accountability, and personal pride in workmanship are essential traits for success in this role.

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks appropriately, and shift focus as needed in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
