Responsibilities

• Ownership of safety and machine guarding initiatives related to the production of heat shrink tubing.
• Perform root cause investigations and execute corrective actions for non-conforming products, processes and equipment using analytical tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and 8D.
• Write technical documentation, such as process instructions, process validation plans and reports, process development plans and reports, and non-conforming material reports.
• Lead cost reduction projects and continuous improvement initiatives in cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate effectively with others across the organization to collectively achieve business objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
• Communicate effectively through written, verbal, non-verbal, and visual methods.
• Adhere to quality and compliance standards to ensure safe and effective use of the products TE manufactures.

What your background should look like

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting a manufacturing environment required. 3-5 years of experience recommended.
• Track record of project completions that deliver business results.
• Experience with designing machine guarding (general CAD proficiency), lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) procedures, and safety control systems (PLC programming, safety interlocks, light curtains etc.) recommended.
• Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus.
