Legal Support Document Control

JOB OVERVIEW

TE Connectivity's Legal Support Teams provide a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services including contracts, legal rights, obligations, and privileges. They review legal data and advise the organization on appropriate legal action.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This position is in the Intellectual Property (IP) Law group and is responsible for assisting the IP team with validating invention documents, managing/tracking formal legal documents, and data entry and related data control/management relating to IP assets in electronic database systems. Candidate must be diligent, organized, reliable/committed, highly motivated and proactive, a pleasant individual with meticulous attention to detail and a professional personality.  Patent experience is preferred, however, is not required.  Potential for further career growth and additional opportunities within the IP team as experience, knowledge and responsibilities develop and expand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Provide accurate, efficient document processing according to IP team protocols and written processes.

•Review, proofread and assess information contained within a large set of documents for data entry into an electronic database system.

•Generate reports from various electronic database systems.

•Effectively utilize other office/administrative skills, including agility in Microsoft Office (including Excel) and general administrative support.

WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND SHOULD LOOK LIKE

- 7+ years experience in document control or other document administration;

- High school diploma;

- Technology savvy with an ability to actively learn and utilize software applications. In particular, proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook

- Experience with databases and other document management processes/practices; and advanced internet research skills a plus.

- Notary preferred
