Job Overview

Job Overview:

  • Benchmark our current manufacturing processes for Molds and Dies with the external market and regular review of major process-related challenges to further improve
  • Create a strategy roadmap for the different Manufacturing Engineering (ME) departments (Molds, Dies & Toolshop) in EMEA
  • Has the overall responsibility to provide manufacturing concepts for new and existing products
  • Establish and implement new and stable manufacturing processes on market leader level
  • Enable digital tools to develop new concepts and improve performance (Time-to-Market, Cost optimization etc.)
  • Ramp up scenarios for risk mitigation and fast to customer
  • Fulfil CER expectation on concept design and successful industrialization
  • Establish stable processes by using most advanced simulation programs and technologies to further improve Time to Market
  • Improve the design for manufacturing in collaboration with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, Centre of Excellences and ME
  • Minimize our Tooling Costs and Time to Market with Advanced Design Concepts, Additive Manufacturing, Reverse Engineering
  • Establish the right KPIs to measure success and Continuous tracking of required skills in current and future business opportunities
  • Coach, mentor and develop the team by fostering an environment of continuous learning, and encouraging global collaboration in a geographically and culturally dispersed organization with a strong view on continuous improvement

What your background should look like:

  • Master/Diplom in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ work experience in the Automotive Industry
  • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Experience in the area of Molds and Dies
  • Strong background in creating manufacturing concepts and processes
  • Good background in industrialisation of projects
  • Lean and Value Stream Thinking
  • Good cost calculation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organisation
  • Fast learner, able to quickly familiarize her/himself with existing methods and practices and new concepts/ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong team formation and leadership skills
  • Fluent English languages, the local language would be a plus
