TE’s Sensors Business Unit is currently seeking a Plant Finance Controller for its EMEA region manufacturing hub  located in Paris area, Les Clays sous Bois and Dreux. The successful applicant joins at an exciting time as the site is currently experiencing significant growth, driven by organic product demand, product transfers from other TE manufacturing sites and exciting new product introductions.

 

This role is the key finance business partner to the Operations site leader and to the site leadership team, supporting plant performance analysis and helping the business to achieve financial commitments.  Job duties include preparation of quarterly forecasts, annual budget, monthly close activities, and various other ad hoc analyses.  You will be responsible for accurate financial reporting and analysis and ensuring the plant management team have all the information they need to allow the plant to deliver to its full potential

 

Key Responsibilities – Senior 5+ years

 

Lead monthly analysis of gross margin to completely understand variances to forecast, identifying and quantifying trends that can be expected to continue and one-time impacts and using data to provide actionable improvement recommendations to the plant leadership.
Provide financial support, analysis, and recommendations on all aspects of Operations Finance including but not limited to productivity, capacity analysis, inventory, scrap, costing, fixed expenses, and cycle counts.
Coordinate and drive the forecast and budget process.
Partner with Operations team in preparation/validation of and follow up on Capital Equipment Requests (CER). 
Perform analysis and reporting on inventory, work order variances, PPV, and subcontracting/outside vendors.
Lead/support a full annual physical inventory and regular fixed asset verifications.
Review and approve savings projects and monitor achievement.
Perform tasks in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and champion and maintain a strong control environment across the site.
Support various aspects of asset management including asset capitalization/disposal efforts, intercompany asset transfers and overall inventory accuracy.
Effectively and impactfully partner with Operations, Commercial Finance, Controlling, FP&A, and other Operations and Finance colleagues.
Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of role content.

 

Background

University degree in finance, accounting, or business management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, experience with SAP FI-CO  is an important advantage, S/4 HANA desired but not a critical requirement
7+ years’ experience in Site Controlling and Finance assignments of increasing responsibility, including manufacturing finance experience related to budgeting, forecasting processes and consolidation

 

Prior experience in a standard cost manufacturing environment preferable within an international organization
Deals with ambiguity and can effectively cope with change.
Able to link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear and concise manner.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international matrix organization
Fluent in English both written and spoken.

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 8 years of experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
