Responsibilities:
- Follow up EHS laws and regulations, renew the site procedures or WI if needed, and share new requirements to all relevant dept. to make sure all requirements implemented.
- Tracking site-specific EHS targets & goals status, and provide support to each workstream.
- Lead incident investigations and ensures appropriate follow up on area hazard/near miss/ EHS concern/ suggestions reporting. Track area action items and assist operations team with closure.
- Participate in the implementation of ISO and TE EHS management System include ENV. tools and SAFE.
- Overall occupational health management of site, include detections, occupational health check and KAIZEN etc.
- Identify potential hazards, risks or near hits through GEMBA Walk or internal audit and follow up the improvement programs.
- Support the EHS Manager on the external EHS audit and develop corrective action plans and track completion to achieve continual improvement.
- Maintain the site-specific EHS training metrics and plan, provide appropriate training course to different positions, include the EHS training of site level to new staffs.
- Conduct activities and initiatives to enhance EHS culture.
- Organize or assist relevant dept. implement emergency drills refer to the emergency drill plan.
- Identify and inform operations team of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through the conducting of safety Observations & Audits (BBS, safety inspections, Safety Gemba walk, 5S+1).
Skills, Experience and Education:
- BS Degree Preferred or Equivalent in Environmental, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or other science field (Biology, Chemistry).
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in EH&S, preferably in a Distribution Center or Warehouse environment.
- Background in a fast-paced environment, working on multiple projects that may involve several stakeholders with little supervision.
- Basic knowledge of Federal and State laws, health and wellness, OSHA, EPA, business continuity planning and lean concepts.
- Knowledge of Velocity EHS and Convergence software preferred.
- Strong skills for organization and ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to develop multiple solutions to an issue and make valid recommendations for resolution.
- Able to understand and execute processes including recognizing customer needs, communicating process changes, measuring, and assessing success and identifying areas of improvement.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Working knowledge of local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

Compensation
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $65,300 – $76,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
