What you will be doing....

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  This is an entry-level position.  Under close supervision, the job requires routine production operations of a repetitive nature, which may support any of the following:  wire straightening, grinding, assembly, and/or coil production.  Most jobs require sitting 60-75% of the time; some jobs require 100% standing.

 

What your background should look like....

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  1. Ability to count, perform basic addition, and subtraction using both English measurements and metric measurement systems.
  2. Ability to read and understand English for safety purposes and to follow, fill out, and process internal forms.
  3. Ability to understand directions given by supervisors in English.
  4. Ability to use some power tools and perform light lifting and carrying (up to 20 pounds).
  5. Ability to measure small wires using a ruler and perform inspections on very small parts with and without a microscope.
  6. Good manual dexterity to perform production tasks and ability to appropriately identify and calculate measurements, and handle small parts.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively.
  8. Good eyesight or appropriately corrected vision.
  9. Ability to follow instructions and accurately attend to details.
  10. Ability to read blueprints a plus.

STARTING WAGE $14.00 per hour; 10% shift differential for Swing Shift and 15% for Night Shift
