Part of the Industrial Solutions Segment, the Aerospace, Defense and Marine (ADM) Business Unit designs, develops, and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of critical electronic components and systems for the harsh operating conditions of the commercial aerospace, defense, and marine industries. Our products and systems are designed and manufactured to operate effectively in harsh conditions ranging from the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of space. AD&M’s products play a crucial role in airplanes, satellites, ships, and in high-growth technologies areas focused on Next Generation Defense and Space applications.

AD&M achieved US$1.5B in net sales and 10% net sales growth in Fiscal Year 2025.

Key Responsibilities

As a senior member of the ADM Business Unit, you will contribute to global portfolio decisions and support the BU in developing strategies that drive above-market organic and inorganic growth, managing projects to help identify new growth platforms / opportunities in attractive market spaces, and working closely with leadership to prioritize both cross-functional involvement and real-time input as the external environment (e.g., technology, customer needs, regulations, competitors, etc.) evolves, and driving the growth of our inorganic pipeline and M&A investment theses.

Key responsibilities will fall into four major areas: Strategy Planning & Execution, Market / Competitive Intelligence, Growth Strategy (organic, inorganic and partnerships), and Talent Development.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Guiding the BU on its “where to play” and “how to win” choices to drive growth, improve profitability, and sustain competitive advantage globally and regionally
  • Lead cross-functional teams in solving business problems using a hands-on hypothesis-driven approach:
    • Lead complex workstreams and providing though leadership and hands-on support
    • Guide and coach project team members in using a hypothesis-driven approach
    • Manage projects and develop deliverables and executive presentations
    • Frame discussion of findings and recommendations
    • Assess organic, partnerships and inorganic opportunities on multiple dimensions
  • Support the strategic planning process and deepen strategic capabilities in the organization
    • Drive change – designing and implementing projects to execute on strategic objectives
    • Ensure that the business strategies clearly articulate the business choices, are well-defined, and lay out the talent and resource requirements
    • Track execution of the long-term strategy through a select set of strategy-to-execution KPIs, synthesize implications to the strategic plan and recommend potential course corrections
  • Lead primary and secondary research. Support research and analysis for identifying and assessing inorganic and partnership opportunities
  • Anticipate market changes and assess the strategic and economic impact of changes today and in the next 5-10 years
  • Develop our investment theses, build our pipeline, and conduct commercial diligence to support our M&A goals. Advise the senior leadership team on selecting the most attractive opportunities and acquisition targets to strengthen product portfolio and go-to-market capabilities
  • Actively develop talent, providing coaching and feedback to junior members of the team

Ideal Background

  • Experience in strategy consulting at a Project Management level (e.g. Engagement Manager, Manager, Project Leader, etc)
  • Experience in industrial space, ideally in the manufacturing of engineered components or products
  • Knowledge of Aerospace, Defense or Marine industries is valued but not required
  • Corporate experience beyond consulting is valued but not required
  • This position can be based remotely in most cities of Europe, the United States or Canada. Business travel (to meet colleagues and clients, attend industry events, etc) is expected to be less than 20% of the time

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: (subject to change dependent on physical location)•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
