Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Sales and Marketing Teams are responsible for the sales and marketing of TE's products, systems or services including sales-oriented activities, market development and communications.
The Sales & Marketing Analyst will join the General Motors Account Team in the Detroit, MI area. The position will report to the Global Account Manager (GAM) and support / lead activities as necessary to accomplish account objectives.  The position will be an Inside Sales Position including additional Customer Interaction with future potential to become an Account Manager.


What You Will Be Doing

•    Assist GAM with development / update of global account strategy
•    Track account forecasting with Account Managers
•    Maintain Monthly sales reporting
•    Assist in resolving GM Credit Issues and Pricing Discrepancies related to account receivables performance
•    Maintain active list of regional won/lost/pending projects
•    Assist Account Managers in collection of Tooling Payments
•    Participate in regional reviews and update regional account plans as needed
•    Assist GAM with development of OEM specific market research
•    Develop OEM product and portfolio materials for distribution to global account team members
•    Support GAM with development of business plan material
•    Participate in account activities as needed at customer locations (i.e. Technical Shows)
•    Perform Covisint activities related to GM Supply Power
•    Maintain GM Score Card performance.  Alert GAM of early known issues
•    Support TE Customer Care representative Maintain GM Spot Buy Purchase Orders
•    Support Account Managers with Salesforce Entries and administration
•    Complete Vehicle Analysis related to IHS Forecasting service 
•    Support Sales with analysis of product drawings, part inquiries, SAP cross references 


What your background should look like:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering discipline as entry into future Account Manager or Engineering role
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to work in engineering / sales environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills with strong focus on spreadsheet development / manipulation, and detailed account strategy presentations using PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Previous automotive industry experience and knowledge is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and negotiate effectively with internal customers to accomplish identified goals
  • Results-orientated, critical thinker, with strong execution and follow-through characteristics
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks
  • Ability to make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently
  • Ability and willingness to travel (<10%) as required
