Job Overview

TE Connectivity has an Inside Sales Manager position available in the North America’s region within the Automotive Division business unit, reporting to the Sr. Sales Manager. This position has responsibility for managing a team of Insides Sales Specialist.  Many of the related account activities, largely comprise of Tier 2/3 suppliers and Distributors.

 

TE is looking for an Inside Sales Manager who is passionate about serving customers, technically oriented, and interested in working for a world leader in Connectivity.  The Inside Sales Manager must be goal oriented, effectively lead a team, drive key performance indicators, develop strategies that align with the organization, and develop the team.

What you will be doing:

•    Provide leadership, guidance, and to develop personnel.
•    Drive strategy, execution and talent (SET).
•    Report and monitor key metrics to drive corporate goals, such as new business wins, revenue reporting, accounts receivable collections, revenue forecast accuracy, and other business related drivers.
•    Negotiate customer terms and conditions.
•    Leverage knowledge of Automotive Market to drive development and implementation strategies for the assigned Territory accounts.
•    Develop budget and forecast for territory, across multiple Inside Sales Specialists.
•    Ability to develop procedures and processes to ensure standard work is being performed across the team.
•    Liaison for customer specifications and requirements, to support development of new product offerings.
•    Provide high level customer service and consultative selling skills to ensure maximum revenue, profitability, and territory growth.
•    Develop and maintain relationships at multiple levels in the customer base to position TE as a strategic partner to the customer.
•    Maintain a high level of awareness in regards to industry trends and competitive activity within the territory.
•    Drive sales growth through maximization of resources and execution of market segment strategies.
•    Effectively communicate with all other Automotive team members to promote the business needs of the territory to foster growth.

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Business Administration or Engineering
•    High degree of Integrity, Teamwork, Innovation, and Accountability
•    2-3 years of leading an Inside Sales team, and with 2-3 years experience in the Automotive Industry.
•    Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people
•    Strong working knowledge vehicles, connection systems, and vehicle architectures
•    Strong customer service orientation 
•    Proven skills in developing/implementing strategies in support of market segments, customers and products consistent with the overall business plan
•    Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally and to influence without direct authority
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and computer skills (i.e. Power Point, Excel, Word, Salesforce, and other internal tools)
•    Must be ambitious, exhibit strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
•    Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently
•    Ability and willingness to travel as required, including international travel
