Job Overview
TE Automotive Sector is looking for a dynamic, well-organized, value creation-oriented person to join the newly created Strategic Portfolio Management team as Chief of Staff.
In this role, you will partner with SVP, Strategic Portfolio Management, and his staff to increase the Strategic Portfolio Management organization’s effectiveness, accelerate strategic initiatives, and ensure seamless execution across Strategy, Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Pricing, and global regions. You will prioritize leadership time, coordinate cross-functional programs, translate strategy into measurable plans, and remove operational roadblocks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & Planning
- Help translate the Sector Business plan into quarterly and annual plans, KPI dashboards
- Support leading planning cycles (annual Strategic Plan plan, quarterly scorecard reviews) and ensure alignment across functions
Leadership Support & Meeting Management
- Manage the SVP, Strategic Portfolio Management, calendar, prepare agendas, briefing materials, decision memos, and follow-up action trackers.
- Run leadership team meetings, synthesize outcomes and ensure accountability on action items
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as liaison across Strategy, Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and global regions to align priorities and resolve interdependencies.
- Craft executive-level communications (SLT materials, leadership briefings, executive summaries).
Program & Project Management
- Coordinate/Drive high-priority cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.
- Create project charters, timelines, RACI matrices and monitor status; escalate risks and recommend mitigations
Process improvement
- Optimize portfolio management processes to improve efficiency and predictability
- Implement standard processes and continuous improvement practices
Success metrics
- Timeliness and quality of deliverables (cadences, executive materials).
- Cross-functional alignment measured by stakeholder feedback
What your background should look like
- 6+ years of experience in commercial operations, strategy, management consulting, or program management supporting industrial organizations
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred); MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience running cross-functional programs and translating strategy into outcomes.
- Strong financial literacy and familiarity with revenue metrics and forecasting.
Core skills & attributes
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to prepare concise executive materials. Mastery of PowerPoint and Excel required
- Strong project management and organizational skills; independent, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
- High emotional intelligence; able to build relationships in a matrix organization and influence without direct authority.
- Analytical mindset; proficient with data analysis and dashboarding (PowerBI, Tableau, or similar).
- Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments; pragmatic problem-solver.
- High integrity, discretion with confidential information.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $172,000 - $245,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
