Job Overview

 In the exciting and challenging role of Key Account Manager for TE Sensors, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with key accounts, managing a complex sales pipeline, generating demand through design wins and revenue growth, and providing total customer satisfaction. You will do this while demonstrating leadership internally on regional and global teams. You will be primarily responsible to provide account-specific strategic leadership, collaborating with extensive cross-functional global teams, thereby accelerating growth, and elevating the TE Sensors brand and market share with OEM customers for medical, industrial, aeronautical, and defense applications.

Job Requirements

•    Develop, continually adjust, and lead the execution of multi-year strategic plans for assigned customers with nationally and globally-recognized brands.
•    Serve as the primary commercial point of contact for key customer stakeholders.
•    Build and maintain long-term credibility and relationships.
•    Develop and lead senior-level customer relationships.
•    Stay current on industry trends, competitive products, evolving technologies, material durability requirements, regulatory certifications, and application-specific needs.
•    Identify new business opportunities, strategies, and partnerships.


Customer Engagement


•    Maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding their business needs and technical requirements.
•    Enhance customer satisfaction and retention through superior service and support.
•    Engage with customers and various ecosystem partners to identify the most significant market trends that will accelerate the growth of our Sensors business.
•    Identify and respond to key customers’ needs, effectively converting the current sales funnel into realized customer wins.
•    Serve as the primary point of contact for customer needs and know when to expedite within the TE Sensors organization as-needed. 
•    Coordinate with internal assets to provide customer quotations, resolve lead time expedites, assist with complaint resolution, logistics coordination, legal negotiations, and the transfer of technical information.
•    Foster a customer-centric approach with internal partners (i.e. Field Application Engineers, Product Management, Engineering, System Architecture, Customer Care, Manufacturing/Operations, and Marketing) to enable an exceptional experience for customers. 


Delivering Revenue Target


•    Achieve and exceed annual global and regional sales targets within assigned accounts.
•    Develop a robust sales pipeline, forecast sales, and track key account metrics.
•    Own and convert opportunities into tangible results to deliver profitable growth for Sensors.
•    Increase sales revenue and market share by continually expanding into new accounts and fostering strong customer relationships through weekly in-person meetings.

 

Leadership


•    Develop account-specific strategies and spearhead cross-functional team alignment to support strategic execution.

 

Collaboration


•    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, system architecture, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive and effective sales strategy.  Evening virtual meetings with colleagues in Asia may be required at times.
•    Collaborate extensively with personnel from within other TE Connectivity Business Units to align strategies and project execution and reinforce a “One TE” perception within customer base.

 

Pipeline Management & Reporting


•    Utilize Salesforce CRM for tracking opportunities, customer interactions, and pipeline conversion.
•    Leverage additional information systems (i.e. SAP) for forecasting and territory reporting.
•    Maintain high accuracy and cadence in CRM entries to support organizational visibility and decision making.

 

Key Goals & Performance Metrics


•    Formulate specific, actionable, account-based strategies and drive execution.
•    Revenue growth in target accounts and region.
•    Pipeline development and conversion, with emphasis on self-driven opportunity creation and conversion to Design Wins.
•    Customer engagement activity levels (calls, visits, demos, project meetings, etc.) tracked via Salesforce CRM.

 

What your background should look like

 •    7+ years of sales experience selling to large, corporate customers.
•    Excellent presentation skills, both virtually and in-person.
•    Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
•    Experience navigating complex sales cycles.
•    Understanding of the medical device regulatory environment(FDA/CE).

•    Prior experience selling sensors or other electrical/technical components to OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
•    Track record of building strategic opportunities, negotiating, and closing large technology-oriented contracts.
•    Ability to understand the big picture, uncover customer needs, and translate into selling opportunities.
•    Experience in negotiating legal contracts to drive desired business agreement results.
•    Demonstrated strong business instincts and industry expertise.
•    Skilled at communicating and leveraging value propositions both externally and internally to global cross-cultural and cross-functional teams. 
•    Strong familiarity with CRM tools and systems (Salesforce).


Ability to travel domestically on average from 40-60% with some potential for international travel.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $128,200-$ 192,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
