SR FULL-STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Job Overview:

As part of the IoT Team within TE Sensors Solutions based in Toulouse, France; we are looking for a Sr Full-stack Software Engineer to produce and implement functional software solutions for our next-generation Industrial IoT wireless product line.  You will work with upper management to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills as well as hands-on experience in software development and agile methodologies.

Your mission will be to develop high-quality software aligned with user needs and TE's strategic roadmap.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Lead future cloud developments and operation
  • Develop Smartphone Applications targeting the Android and Apple ecosystem
  • Deploy and maintain smartphone Application
  • Secure and manage new cloud software deployment, maintain and monitor cloud structure through performances metrics
  • Develop Over the Air Update, provide customer API for sensor integration and deployment, security key management, IP integration, and license management
  • Develop software for scalable web applications with NodeJS and associated technologies
  • Develop RESTful web services 
  • Design responsive and cutting-edge graphical user interfaces 
  • Support, maintain and document software functionality
  • Assist in defining Cloud strategy
  • Implement software testing units for quality management
  • Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
  • Full lifecycle application development in accordance with standards compliance

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Mandatory fluent English speaking and writing. 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Proven 5 to 8 years of experience in Cloud Development or DevOps
  • Experience working with Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a must, AWS preferred 
  • Proficiency in microservices concepts and containers (Kubernetes, Docker, EKS)
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows administration
  • Extensive experience in software development, scripting, and project management
  • Ability to work with HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript including Angular, ReactJS, and others
  • Expert in fundamental programming languages: Java (NodeJS), bash, and Python
  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
  • Knowledge of software versioning tools such as Git
  • Knowledge about VPN and SSH tunneling
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab)
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
  • Able to work in an agile environment without direct supervision and high-level guidelines.
