EMEA Supplier Quality Engineer (f/m/d) - Electronics

Job Overview

The EMEA Supplier Quality Engineer SQE (f/m/d), reporting to the EMEA Quality Lead of Sensors Business, will closely work with the sourcing manager in charge of Electronic components, SQE – Electronics is part of a “commodity control team”.
SQE proactively will develop the EMEA supplier base and participate in the supplier selection, improve the supplier performance in serial mode, engage and drive suppliers to reach the expected performance level. 

Key Responsibilities
Working closely with sourcing leader in charge of Electronic suppliers for TESS EMEA plants, the Supplier Quality Engineer:  

  • -    Supports the selection of new suppliers
  • -    Assures that suppliers meet TE and TE customer’s expectations
  • Identifies Focus suppliers and sets quality targets
  • Manages poor performance suppliers
  • Leads problem solving activities linked to suppliers
  • Performs process audits and handles supplier audits
  • Leads continuous improvement activities of suppliers (scorecard reviews and focus meetings)
  • Tracks performance of suppliers
  • Reports supplier performance
What your background should look like:

•    University / Engineering degree in electronics or similar qualification
•    3 + years’ experience in a Supplier quality, supplier development or sourcing role.
•    Automotive environment experience is required, Aerospace is possible as long as candidate has APQP (Advance Product Quality Process) experience.
•    Regular travels are expected to visit and audit suppliers, customers or attend TESS meetings generally in EMEA (25%-50%)
•    Fluent English is required. French will be highly appreciated. 
•    Experience in tools such as 8D, PDCA, DMAIC, FMEA, APQP
•    Experience in leading problem-solving teams 
•    Ability to set priorities

•    Coaching skills
•    Experience of international environment (USA, China preferred)
•    Leadership skills
