Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Industry Sales Teams manage sales to a specific industry, targeting customers with specialized knowledge regarding demand and future outlook of that sector.

 

Overall responsibility of the Sales for Utility customers in Mexico, management of the Sales Team (Sales Engineers, Application Engineer and Customer Care).

Key tasks of the job

• Effective Management of the Sales Team (Sales Engineers-RSMs, Application Engineer, and Customer Service) to the continuous growth of top line (Sales) and profitability of his region of responsibility
• Drive the creation of a consistent Action Plan by each Account Manager - RAM and monitor close the execution and results with a regular cadence, providing constant feedback to each individual of the team.
• Responsible to manage the constant update of the Key Customer Files by the respective RAM`s (Account Managers-Sales Engineers) and his own customers, proper minimum monthly review and effective use as a management tool to drive growth to the territory, by new products introduction and Market Share gain (Wallet Share Gain initiatives)
•Responsible for monitoring closely all the Opportunities listed for his territory of responsibility, making sure that all opportunities are listed in the system (SFDC), properly reported and updated. As per the previous item, supporting and coaching the team to drive to a positive closure
• Responsible to communicate in advance to the Sales Director, Product Managers and Engineering teams, major trends in terms of changes in product technologies related to TE portfolio, acquisition processes by the customers (Power Distribution Utilities, Contractors, OEM’s, etc)
• Responsible to maintain the appropriate levels of inventory of Finished Goods and control of SMI (Slow Moving Inventory or PFO (Provision for Obsolescence) to assure proper level of profitability.
• Support the Finance Team with the Account Receivables actions to avoid negative impacts on the P&L
• Have direct responsibility for at least 3 major accounts of Mexico
• Responsibility to consolidate and expand the Distribution channels in Mexico, by managing closely the respective Sales Engineers responsible for each distributor to work closely with the Distributor Channel Manager for LAM, creating and executing action plans including demand creation activities, incentive plans, rebate programs, etc, to drive a double-digit growth 
• Responsible for Price Strategy for all Energy Products in Peru working closely with the Product Management Team and the Sales Director
• Develop and execute customer strategic account growth in line with our strategy, and product roadmap.  Ensure profitable revenue growth and account penetration
• Deep understanding of customer market and different market segments, market share and the competitive landscape at the Electrical industry
• Talent/mentor coach to sales organization
• Responsible for continuing to develop and upskill team through Education, Experience and Exposure
• Focus on the end customer satisfaction. As the definition in TE- ECE- Excellent Customer Experience

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineer, if possible complemented by a degree in Administration or MBA focused program
• 7-10 years of solid experience with effective management of teams, preferably Sales Teams
• Solid experience on the Electrical Market of Mexico, having worked directly with CFE and other market segments like EPC Contractors, Engineering Companies, Renewables, Mines and Distributors
• Fluent in English (Speaking, Reading & Writing)
• Strong Technical background on the field of Electrical Products, able to provide technical and commercial presentations as well as to present to the upper management constant clear & concise Market Updates of his territory of responsibility
• Effective Management of the Sales Organization making sure that action plans are created and properly executed
• Experience on providing feedback and motivate the sales teams to achieve their performance goals and the expected growth for the territory

Particular skill / aptitude required

• Strong Analytical and Execution Skills plus Business acumen to allow implementation of the Global Energy Division Strategy and local initiatives to drive growth
• Product and Industry knowledge
• Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent oral and written communication skills- 
• Straightforward, personable, active.
• Desire to work in a growth-oriented environment 
• Previous experience on the Electrical Market of Mexico, with experience with customers such as CFE, EPC`s and Contractors for Utility and distributors
• Good cross-cultural experience, communication and collaborative skills
• Focus on Results/growth
